What is fat injection?
Fat injection process is a safe and simple procedure that takes place in the clinic under local anesthesia and takes about an hour .
In this process, autologous fat is taken from the patient’s body, treated in a specific way, and then re-injected into the patient’s face for filling.
The process goes through three stages: the stage of fat collection, purification and transport, and finally the injection of fats in the required place.
Why fat injection?
- To reconfigure areas of the face after severe diet or partial facial atrophy.
- For the treatment of facial aging such as deep wrinkles and sunken cheeks.
- To correct the signs of aging on the hands due to fat atrophy.
The donated area is determined and sterilized, then the local anesthetic is applied, then the fat is extracted from a small opening through a tube, then the mixture is filtered and the fat cells are separated by manual or automatic method.
Then placed in special injections of different sizes depending on the area to be injected.
Medical patches are applied to the openings in the donated area without the need for surgical suture and no scarring after that The receptor area is injected with the local anesthetic and then injected with fat gradually until we reach the required amount and shape. A light massage is then performed
There is a slight swelling that disappears in two to three weeks and there may be some bruising.
In the first months after the injection, the body absorbs a percentage of fat that varies from person to person and the patient may need to perform another stage of the injection in some cases.
